By the end of this program, the psychiatric consultant will be able to:
- Demonstrate the core skills of a psychiatric consultant as part of a Collaborative Care team
- Plan and execute a quality improvement project to apply Collaborative Care principles in current practice setting
- Describe the core features of implementation of an integrated care program to deliver mental health services in a primary care setting, including developing new workflows
- Articulate the rationale (including citing evidence from the literature) and business case for developing integrated care practices to leverage scarce psychiatric services
- Advocate for effective integrated care practices and educate interdisciplinary team members
- Promote personal and organizational well-being and resilience through a commitment to continuing education, participation in professional networks, and practice improvement
