Laura Pugh completed residency in primary care internal medicine at the University of California San Francisco after attending the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Her interests in public health and addiction medicine developed in medical school and continued throughout residency. Her clinical and research interests include low barrier primary care, low barrier Hep C treatment, addiction treatment for medically complex patients, and addiction medicine in rural and indigenous communities. Outside of work, she loves cooking big meals for people (often beans), distance running, backpacking, and caring for her rambunctious cat and dog.
