Ramita Goel completed her MBBS and MD in Psychiatry from a WHO-accredited university in Western India. With multiple national and international publications particularly in meta-analyses she has a strong foundation in academic research. She believes addiction requires comprehensive, compassionate care, especially given how many individuals suffer silently, as reflected in world-level epidemiology. As a mental health advocate, she uses her platform @drgoelpsychiatrist on Instagram to raise awareness and foster open conversations about mental health. Outside of medicine, she enjoys exploring nature and watching movies. She aspires to become a leader in the field of Addiction Psychiatry, and sees the University of Washington as a meaningful stepping stone toward that goal.
