John (Drew) Sturgeon, PhD

John (Drew) Sturgeon, PhD is a fellowship-trained, licensed pain psychologist with specialized training in cognitive-behavioral therapy, as well as experience in other psychotherapeutic approaches for people with a wide variety of chronic pain conditions. Dr. Sturgeon has a particular interest in the roles of positive emotions and social relationships and how these factors promote better function and overall quality of life in people with chronic pain. He is currently an Acting Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
